Since 1948, Tadano has defined the global crane industry. The 2019 acquisition of Demag Mobile Cranes united Japanese precision with German heavy-lift heritage — creating the world's broadest mobile crane product range.
Tadano was founded in 1948 in Takamatsu, Japan, and produced Japan's first hydraulic truck crane in 1955. Over seven decades of continuous engineering investment have established Tadano as a global leader in mobile crane technology — with 5,600 employees, 450,000 m² of manufacturing capacity across facilities in Japan, Germany, and the USA, and crane fleets operating in over 100 countries.
The 2019 integration of Demag Mobile Cranes expanded Tadano's product range into the 100t–1,200t all-terrain and lattice boom crawler crane segments — making Tadano the only crane manufacturer offering the complete spectrum from city cranes to ultra-heavy lift machines.
